But that’s kind of the balance is you’ve got to balance like I’m developing an audience, but I need to make it sustainable. So sometimes it makes great business sense for you to go ahead and use an affiliate. And other times you’re like, you know what? Maybe not on this video because my main goal for this video is just to get it to rank really high.

To begin adding annotations, select edit video on a video you’ve already uploaded to your channel and then select the annotations tab. In the annotations dashboard you can scroll throughout your video, selecting the timeframe where you wish to add an annotation from the add annotation drop down menu. There are six different types of annotations to help drive further interaction with your videos, each with a different purpose for optimizing your content.


Promotional videos are specifically created to, well, promote. This can be for an upcoming event such as a big holiday sale or a new product launch coming soon. Promotional videos are effective ways to create interest around a product or event and bring the buzz. While some video types are evergreen, promotional videos are usually specifically targeted at a product feature or event which may have a timeframe attached to it.
Time spent watching a video is part of YouTube's algorithm. So if your title, tags, description, thumbnail, or category are misleading, it's unlikely that someone who clicks on your video will watch it for very long—once they realize it's not what they were looking for. If people only watch your videos for a few seconds at a time, the algorithm will notice and will demote your video in results.
I recommend that your account picture (which you set through your Google account) is some sort of brand logo. If you’re a one-person business, it can be a professional headshot of you. Ideally, it should match your profile pictures on other social media accounts for instant brand recognition. This works both ways; if ones of your followers from another site comes across your YouTube, you want them to recognize you so they’re more likely to watch. And, vice versa, if a viewer Googles you, you want them to be sure that the Facebook profile they’re clicking on is actually you. To change your channel art, just click on it when editing your profile.
Well, the strategy is the backbone of any plan that you have got. If the strategy is right, the plan might work or else it might backfire like you would have never even imagined. Your strategy initially should revolve around your objectives, but it should have creative ideas, not just limited plans. When it comes to video marketing, an idea that you can get into strategy is to launch a couple of teasers and trailers before you bring out the actual video.

Remember to include a number with each goal. This can change as you learn more but it’s always essential to make realistic and tangible goals rather than theoretical ones to monitor your success.  For example, how many more followers do you want? How much are you willing to spend per conversion? To make more informed objectives, check out industry benchmarks to see what numbers you should be reaching. Don’t be afraid to adjust your goals as you gain more experience.


Make them curious to make them wait for what you are bringing and then launch the final video to get the maximum response. This is just an idea that you can use, and a lot of such ideas are what your video marketing strategy should be based around. Moreover, your strategy is also to decide which kind of video you are going to go to. Whether it is a real-time video or a 3d animation video, it can take your viewership to be increased but what kind you are choosing might be reflected through the factors you have got according to the research of your target audience and brand characteristics.
YouTube provides you with a way to feature some of your other videos on every video being watched. It’s a bit like free advertising for all your other content. The best part is, you can decided which video(s) to highlight—whether it’s a specific video, playlist or your latest video. YouTube also allows you to decide at which point the featured content should appear.
The part in italics is what will show as the title on YouTube. You see that I leave a cliffhanger that will make people want to click. I also put in the keywords search engine optimization and SEO in there to make it clear what the video is about. I’d then put the Google logo in the thumbnail to catch the eye and make sure people know it’s about Google SEO.
2. Choose your channel icon — Upload a square, high-res (800×800) image that is recognizable and looks great when displayed at smaller resolutions (so use text sparingly). This image will be your channel’s icon throughout all of YouTube. If your channel is linked to G+, you can use an image you’ve previously uploaded to your G+ account. You can access this from your YouTube account page.
Putting your keyword into the title of your video while also saying your keyword throughout the video is a great way to drive home the point of what your video accomplishes, to both viewers and search engines. In line with Google’s shift toward natural language search and high-relevancy content, matching auditory keywords within a video with those utilized in video titles signals that you’re not spamming users and that your video follows through on its title.
Inserting the year into your title and description can also enhance CTR. Dates help prove that your content is still relevant or that it has been updated to match changing viewer intent. Instead of “How to turn every blog post into a high-traffic machine,” try “The 2018 guide to turning every blog post into a high-traffic machine” or “How to turn every blog post into a high-traffic machine in 2018.”
What you need are deep insights into your audience. To find them you'll need to run surveys, conduct interviews and sift through data. Start by gathering basic information like demographics, then move onto more detailed considerations of personality and preferences. Be sure to get to the root of what your audience need, what they want, and which problems you can help them with.

It’s clear that video marketing is growing. It’s also clear that both marketers AND consumers want more of it.
